George Howard House landmark nomination

One of the home's owners explained that George Howard was La Crosse's first druggist, originally from England, deeply involved in the community, and that the family found period bottles bearing his name while researching.

The co-owner described the house's journey — moved from downtown around 1911-12, once housing a millinery — and said they pursued the designation out of passion for preserving La Crosse's older homes.
